Book Wanted "Request for Quote"
A Book Wanted Ad works in reverse from the standard "For Sale" ad and is designed to solicit "offers to sell" instead of buyers. Any one who has the book or item wanted by the member, can submit their offer. Their offer should include a detailed description of their book or item as well as any other limiting terms of their offer submission.

At any time after offers are submitted, the member who listed the ad will decide whose offer to accept, if any. The winning offer is not automatically determined by price, since the member may select one offer over another depending on other factors, such as:

  • Edition or printing
  • Condition of the book
  • Reputation of Seller
  • Additional Details
  • Limitations of Competing Offers

The member who places a book wanted ad is not obligated to accept any of the offers, or they can accept as many of the offers as they wish.
