Bid Increments
A bid increment is the
amount of increase (over the current bid) needed to place a qualifying
bid. The increments increase as the value of the auction
rises.
Note standard auctions are Proxy Auctions,
and a qualifying bid may not necessarily be a successful bid if the
previous high bidder has a higher maximum bid in place. The system
places bids for members at ONE INCREMENT over the next highest bid UP TO
THEIR MAXIMUM BID. If two or more bidders bid the same
amount, the earliest bid wins.
