Publication era

Note:  The Publication Era field, like all our Identifier Fields, is designed to help buyers narrow their search and browse results to just items that have particular values or value ranges.  Sellers should put the exact date of Publication in their description just as they normally would, but by choosing one of these specific 11 Publication eras, the seller will have the chance to reach more buyers who narrow their desired search or browse results to exclude unwanted eras (and any Undeclared items if they wish).
Includes both the Incunabula (pre-1501), Early (1501 thru 1600), and Antiquarian (1601 thru 1750) periods.  Note: Incunabula and Early Period Books have their own subcategories under the Antiquarian and Collectable top-level category.
Begin the Modern period: From the emergence of the New World to the beginnings of the Civil War.

Pre-Depression, end of Black & White printing era.
Pre-to-Post WWII
End of the Pre-ISBN era.

The default value for this field. Items with this value generally indicate a book that was bulk uploaded, but the seller didn't want to take the time to edit their records to take advantage of our unique identifier fields which aid buyers who are browsing or searching for particular kinds of items.  Many buyers will eliminate this value from their search or browse results because it adds unwanted items to their results.
