Seller's Category, Catalog, Promotion, Keyword, or Reference Number
This is one of our unique buyer-oriented Advanced Search & Browse fields, and can be used by the seller for a variety of functions:
  • Seller Designated Category* - Sellers can use this field to create their own subcategories for their specialties.
  • Catalog** - Like a traditional print catalog, seller's can group selected items to help buyers locate similar items for sale by the seller.
  • Promotion** - Sellers can group items for special offers such as "free shipping" or "Spring Clearance".
  • Keyword - Any traditional Keyword that is not covered by the title or category would be appropriate here.
  • Reference Number - Sellers can add their own item or reference numbers to help them quickly identify the storage location or any other designation they have for their items.
  • Combination - combine any of the above.

*Buyers can browse the Seller's Category List below to find areas of interest.  To submit your special category for inclusion, email the administrator and/or use the Category forum to announce it to the other members and visitors.  If a Seller Category becomes popular with other sellers, we will add it to the regular site categories.

**The significance of any catalog or promotion should be explained in the description field of each of the seller's listings: "Search my Christmas Gift catalog to save on shipping" or "Get 25% off any of my January Clearance items".  This allows sellers to direct their customers to other related items located in different Auction and/or Mart categories.

Note:  Sellers cannot use this field indiscriminately to trick buyers into viewing unrelated items.  This is "spamming" and will not be allowed.  Sellers who abuse this feature will be warned, and then sanctioned or removed from the site.  Members should use the anonymous "Report Item" button (available on every item listing page) when they find any inappropriate use of this feature.
