Durable Buckram Cover
Buckram covers come in solid colors, patterns and picture imaged, but are
always visibly different from regular covers (typically more slick and shiny
because of the impregnated glue) . For a close-up of the differences in
the buckram and regular cloth covering, click here.
The photograph below shows some examples of the difference in buckram covers and
the original bindings. The top three Landmark books are regular bindings. The
bottom three are all buckram (the third has a photo image printed on the
buckram. For more details, see below).

The photos below show the variation between a buckram cover (left
image) and the regular cloth cover (center image) of the same book. Note:
The illustration that was printed on the buckram cover is a representation of
the image on the original dust jacket (right image) that was issued with the
regular cloth covered edition. This is typical of photo-illustrated
buckram covers.

Close-up View: Note the buckram covered book (upper right) has a
courser weave and makes a thicker corner due to the increased thickness of the
material.
