Collectors Book Market's
"No Spam" anonymous email system
Collectors Book
Market has an internal email system that handles
all communications between users, except the actual buy/sell transactions.
To contact a member of Collectors Book Market, just click on their UserName
(anywhere on the site) and an internal system email form will open addressed to that user.
When you submit your message, it is sent to the user's private mailbox
as "New Mail"

If you are registered and logged in, you can click on your private
Mailbox
link at the top of most pages
to manage your system emails. The
"New
Mail" icon indicates you have at least one message in your mailbox that
you have not opened.
There are three tabs at the top of your mailbox pages, Inbox,
Sentbox, and Compose.
Your Inbox
Your Inbox is where you can see private messages
that other users have sent to you.
Tip: You will be notified via your registered email
address whenever you get a message in your mailbox
( Note: You will not receive any further notification emails for any
additional new messages until after you check your mailbox) .
Each row in the inbox signifies a message that you
have received. The first item in each row is a Checkbox. To delete messages from your inbox, check the
corresponding boxes and then click on the Delete
button at the bottom of the page.
Next to the checkbox you will see either a closed
envelope, signifying a message not yet read, or an open
envelope signifying a message read. If your
message contains attachments, you will see a paperclip icon.
The next column contains information about the user
whom the message is From.
If the message is from a registered user, this column will display
their user name. If not, it will display the name they entered when
sending a message as well as a special icon that identifies the sender
as a non-registered user. The Received column displays the date that the message was sent. The
System column will specify which part of Collectors Book
Market your message was sent from (the auction, the Mart, the forum,
etc.).
Tip: If the message is in response to an item
anywhere in Collectors Book Market, you can click on the icon in
this column to see the item about which the message was
sent.
The Subject
column contains the subject
that the user entered when sending the message. Click on this
subject or on the icon at the beginning of the row to display
the message detail. When viewing a message, you can choose to
Reply to it or to Delete it.
Attached files will be listed at the bottom of the page. Click
on a file to display it in a pop up window.
Your Sentbox
Each row in your Sentbox signifies a message you have
sent. A closed envelope represents a message that has not yet been read by the recipient.
An open envelope represents a message that has been read. If
your message contains attachments, you will see a paperclip icon as
well.
The next column contains
the user name of the person to whom you sent the message.
The Sent column displays the date when the message
was sent. The Read
column displays the date on which the message was read. The System
column specifies which of the Collectors Book Market systems (auction,
forums, etc.) the message came from. The Subject column contains the subject that
you
entered when sending the message. Click on this subject or on
the icon at the beginning of the row in order to display the message
detail. Sent messages will remain in the your
Sentbox until they are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Compose
Click on the "Compose" tab to create a new message for another
registered member. You can also upload a text or image file to
attach to your messages (Note: no executable files that could
contain viruses or other harmful content can be sent through the
system).
Your
email address is always hidden to prevent
anyone from sending you
unsolicited messages or spam, as long as you send and reply using the links provided in the
system-generated email messages. Except for the system generated
email confirming a successful auction or Mart ad purchase (which
contains the name and email address of the buyer and the seller), your email address is never revealed
to the other users unless you provide it to them.
