Collectors Book Mart: Bulk Upload Differences

Important Differences in the CollectorsBookMart Bulk Upload System from bulk upload systems on other sites

  • Each uploaded record ALWAYS creates a new Ad listing
  • You DO NOT update the availability status (for sale, on hold, sold) of your listings by re-uploading the same records that are already on the site.²   This will create duplicate listings.
  • Records are uploaded to a Bulk Upload Staging area where you can edit them or add images before posting them to the active listings.
  • Uploaded records are not visible to buyers until they are posted.  You can post records from the staging area individually or by the page.
  • There is a limit of 100 records successfully³ uploaded per Bulk Upload batch (there is no limit on the number of batches you upload).

¹  Each new Ad listing is charged the appropriate listing fees (you are always presented with a complete summary of the charges for your approval before the you finish the upload process and the charges are applied).
²  To remove a Fine Book Mart listing from active status, you "close" the listing from the Selling tab of your My Mart ad management page, or by clicking the "close this ad" link on the item listing page (this link is only visible to the item owner).
³  Any records that fail to upload will be itemized with a reason they weren't uploaded and you can review the exact details of what caused the record to fail.
